Local test rig, not a product UI. Card steps capture the document only — MRZ (OCR-B
trained data + zone cropping) and AAMVA barcode decode both run server-side on submit,
real check-digit validation included. Document type isn't asked up front: confirming the
front-of-document capture triggers a server-side check of that image alone, and a
passport-format MRZ (which lives only on the front bio-data page) auto-skips the
back-of-document capture step; anything else still asks for the back.
Face steps run a real liveness check: action-classifier.ts + liveness.ts,
bundled unmodified from src/, verified server-side on submit — not a demo
reimplementation. The card's photo is matched against the live selfie with a real face
detector/embedder (YuNet + SFace) — that's the real pass/fail gate; the three live captures
are also compared against each other for illustrative pose-consistency, shown in the debug
panel only.
